Depart for Cape Coast, stopping at Assin Manso to visit the Slave River, where slaves had their last bath, and the Slave Route. Continue to Cape Coast, arriving and proceeding to the Kakum National Park, where you can experience the unique flora from the tree-top level on the Canopy Walkway. Visit Elmina and the Cape Coast Castles, which are world heritage sites used during the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and were built in 1482 by the Portuguese. They are the largest slave dungeons in sub-Saharan Africa. Finally, spend the rest of your time by the beach and mingle with the local fishermen.
